Stevland Hardaway Morris (b. 1950) is better known as Stevie Wonder, the blind child prodigy who was a hit in the 1960s and who went on to reshape the contours of R&B in the 1970s and beyond. He found his way to the piano at age five, was topping the charts by 13, and had won a record-tying three Album of the Year Grammy Awards by 26. He has sustained a distinguished career in music ever since, with countless collaborations and endless accolades, including a Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2014. Wonder’s greatest hits from the 70s and 80s have endured in popularity for decades. Four of them are collected in the concert band medley Stevie Wonder in Concert, assembled in 2011 by Paul Murtha:

It opens with “Sir Duke” from 1976’s Songs in the Key of Life. The song is a tribute to Duke Ellington.

This segues into “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” from 1972’s Talking Book. Here it is live from the White House in 2011:

Next comes “I Wish,” also from Songs in the Key of Life:

The medley closes with 1970’s hit “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),” heard here in its original format:
